Troop 8 loves adventure and offers boys the opportunity to put their skills and confidence to the test with exciting trips and experiences. Trips range from High Adventure once-in-a-lifetime experiences like Philmont, Sea Base, Northern Tier, and Bechtel Summit, to shorter weeklong backpacking trips throughout the Northeast to places like the High Peaks in the Adirondacks and the Taconics, to shorter trips like winter camping at 13th Lake or a Dogsledding Expedition in the remote Maine wilderness. Some trips are perennial parts of the BSA (Like Philmont) while others are born from the ideas of scouts. One year a crew from Troop 8 planned and executed a backpacking trip to the Swiss Alps!

If you love adventure, then Troop 8 is for you. Contact us for more information.
