Friday, March 14 (at 7:30 PM) promises to be one that is great for both those new to jazz and aficionados alike.
Performance by Kristen Lee Sergeant, jazz vocals with bassist Chris Smith and pianist Jon Weber, host of NPRs Piano Jazz.
Free and open to all, Concerts On Main’s hour-long performances are held in Ogden Memorial Presbyterian Church’s historic and acoustically-engaging sanctuary. As needed, younger listeners can take advantage of a nearby indoor play space during the concerts.
I am running a service project on Saturday, March 22 and 29, at Kings (on Main Street) and on Sunday, March 30, at my house. Both Saturdays we will be collecting food for lunches which we will make on the 30th for the homeless.

Important details to remember for the campout:
- Troop will meet on SATURDAY morning at 7:18 AM for a 7:48 AM departure from Ogden Memorial Presbyterian Church
- Return around 11 AM on Sunday.
- $17 per person. Make checks payable to Troop 8.
- Gear pull on Wednesday 3/12/2014 at 7:08 PM – Troop Room.
- All meals by patrols.
- Dress (pack) appropriately for the weather.
- No cotton clothes and no jeans for outdoor activities.
- Scouts without boots will not be allowed to go.
- Please observe the No cell phone policy.
- Drivers will be finalized on Thursday, 3/13/2014.

Please Note: New and old scouts, the troop must have a current medical form on file for every scout prior to departure from Ogden. The form can be found at Annual Health and Medical Record, Parts A and B. This form must be done annually.

Troop 8 SCUBA divers and those interested in SCUBA diving have been invited back to the Beneath the Sea SCUBA Expo this coming March. This is a great opportunity for those looking to earn funds to get certified as SCUBA divers this year to prepare for trips to Sea Base and beyond. Or just to add money to your Scout account. The guys that have gone to the Beneath the Sea the past two years have had a great time.
You will be selling water bottles, running a coat check and having a great time. You will have opportunities to go into the show, visit vendors, buy SCUBA gear and SCUBA Crew to get ideas for future dive trips.
